‘Almost, but not Quite’, written and directed by Suzette Styler and Rebekah Wilkinson, is an internet broadcast series of short film, with each current episode depicting revelation through real time conversation. Starting as a weekly broadcast from Monday 24th May at 9:00pm, and every Monday three weeks after this date, at the same time. Each antecedent episode available for viewing at anytime. Once watched altogether, this pilot series will display a style of a ‘paused film’, with unseen time lapses in between.
The project is comprised of layers and themes, all of which lend to its grounded and certain inspiration of destruction through rumour.
Remediation has allowed us as filmmakers to share this project on a much vaster scale, and adds to the reality of how rumour is spread, the internet being an integral part of this. Despite it’s episodic nature, 'Almost, but not Quite’ strays from many existing web virals; inheriting film making techniques and style. The fact it is a series, just adds another layer to the revelation themes running throughout the project. It has been written in such a way heavily inspired by personal real life situations and thus we have created a storyline in which we hope our viewers to be able to easily relate to. Despite being heavily inspired, it is in fact a fictional series, juxtaposed by the reality of the internet, and unlike many virals we aren’t trying to tell you otherwise.

A special thanks to everyone involved for being thoroughly hard working and a million thanks to
Douglas Green, Susan Styler, Clare and Brian Wilkinson.
A 22 year old third year English Language and Journalism student, studying at the University of Hertfordshire. Works part time at a cafe. She writes articles when she can for her university magazine. She is very ambitious, but right now she does not feel as though she has an immediacy to do something about it- uncertain yet clever. She is quietly cynical and has her moments of being hilarious, she has a good memory and can seem immature when happy.
Played by Holly Matthews, formally of Waterloo Road and Byker Grove.
A 22 year old graphic design freelancer. His work is incredibly intermittent but lives a comfortable lifestyle with the help of his parents which tends to allow others to describe him as lazy. He doesn't give too much thought about how to reach his ambitions but would love to be in a position of working for a successful graphic design company. He is generally quite hard to really get to know.
Played by Tommy Balaam- up and coming actor, graduate of East 15 Acting School.
A 23 year old gym trainee manager. Josh is very independent, lives alone and is considered to be very sociable. His friendships are generally unexpected matches. He can be boisterous which often gets him into situations unbeknown to himself. The second time you would meet Josh, your opinion would probably stray far from your initial judgements, he can come across slightly dense.
Played by Aaron Sidwell, formally Stephen Beale of Eastenders.
A 20 year old Fashion Marketing student at the University of Hertfordshire, works part time at a local bar in Romford. She can often try to directly quote conversation she has heard around her in order to be involved. She lives at home and travels to university. She doesn't think very logically when she loses her temper.
Played by Billie Fulford-Brown, whom has appeared in the well known web viral Sofia's Diary.
